Dino-Mural

Time: 30-45 minutes.
The mural features a mother T-Rex guarding her eggs and tells the story of what is happening in her habitat. Guided hands-on activities.
Prehistoric Cultures
June 1, 2008 - August 31, 2008
Time: 1 - 2 hours
Students receive a guided tour on prehistoric peoples of Wisconsin in the permanent exhibit, On The Edge of the Inland Sea, then explore what items can be made from natural materials. Students try grinding corn with a mano and matate and try making a hammer from sinew, wood and stone.

Spiders

Time: 30-45 minutes.
Our most successful summer program! Learn different families of spiders, how to identify them, and how to draw them. Hands-on actvities and slideshow. Students can bring in spiders to be identified!
To Body and Health

Time: 45 minutes
Learn about the human body and its systems. Hands-on activities as well as a 7-minute presentation by a Transparent Anatomical Mannequin (TAM).
Toons and News!

Time 45-60 minutes.
Take a guided tour of the Joe Heller Editorial Cartoons exhibit. Learn how the news can be funny. Make your own cartoon from his work using a magnetic board. Then try your own hand at drawing cartoons.
