Mapping Old Green Bay

Grades: 3-8, especially 3rd
Length: 2 to 2.5 hours
Related Exhibit: On The Edge Of The Inland Sea

Learn about the Green Bay area through maps, transportation, and people as presented on a guided tour through On The Edge of the Inland Sea. Students then work in the classrooms with two historic maps of Green Bay in our newly developed map activity!

Pre-visit Activity

Have your students look at our Snapshots in Time page at old historic photos from our collection before they come to the museum. Ask them to find different kinds of transportation in each photograph. Let them know that some of the photos they see on the site will be seen on their upcoming tour.
