What You'll See
Get a rare look at hundreds of the original editorial cartoons by Joe Heller.
Exhibit Details
The editorial cartoons in the exhibit cover a wide range of topics, including local, state, and national issues; the election; the environment; gas prices; 9/11; Iraq; celebrities; and the Green Bay Packers.
In addition to the original cartoons, the exhibit includes two DVDs: one follows Mr. Heller’s creative process from concept through the drawing process to the finished product; the second is This Old Man, chronicling through illustration and original lyrics the final season (game by game) of retired Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre.
The exhibit also includes the butterfly made by Mr. Heller for the Einstein Project’s Butterflies on Parade event. The butterfly, The Ink Beneath My Wings, is on loan to the Museum from the KI art collection.
Mr. Heller, who has drawn editorial cartoons for the Green Bay Press-Gazette since 1985, is one of three full-time editorial cartoonists in Wisconsin. He is self-syndicated, with his cartoons appearing in hundreds of newspapers nation-wide.
