71st Art Annual Juried Exhibition Opening at the Neville Public Museum

Green Bay, WI---May 11, 2016---The 71st Art Annual exhibit is an all media, juried exhibition of current artworks produced by artists living in the counties of Northeastern Wisconsin and  Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  A total of 44 artworks by 33 artists were chosen by the juror, David Wells. Wells is the Director of the Edgewood College Art Gallery in Madison, Wisconsin.

“While the 71st Art Annual reflects painting’s a dominant strength and vitality in the region, it includes outstanding artworks across a variety of media. I hope viewing the exhibition is as rewarding as it was to be the juror,” said Wells.

In November of 1942, under the direction of Earl G. Wright, the Neville Public Museum inaugurated the Northeast Wisconsin Art Annual. For over seventy years, the Neville has continued this tradition of bridging communities through the talent of regional artists.

The 71st Art Annual will be on display at the Neville Public Museum from May 14, 2016 through July 3, 2016.
