A World at War-100th Commemoration of the Start of WWI to Open at the Neville Public Museum
Green Bay, WI---February 5, 2014--- A World at War-100th Commemoration of the Start of WWI opens Saturday, February 8 at your Neville Museum!
1914 marked a pivotal year in world history when war broke out in Europe following the assassination of Franz Ferdinand the Archduke of the Austro Hungarian Empire on June 28th.
The ensuing four year "Great War" spread across the continent of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, pulling in the United States on April 6, 1917.
A World at War commemorates the events, places, and people that fought in the First World War, particularly those soldiers from Northeast Wisconsin.  This exhibit will highlight photographs, artifacts, and oral histories from WWI.    
A World at War is sponsored by the Byron L. Walter Family Trust, Green Bay Packaging, Inc., Schneider National Foundation, and the Cornerstone Foundation of Northeastern Wisconsin.
