Eyes on the Sky Opening This Weekend at the Neville
 
Green Bay, WI—July 12, 2016—Discover how humans in Northeastern Wisconsin have observed, explored, and understood our Solar System and its place in the Milky Way Galaxy in Eyes on the Sky-opening this Saturday at the Neville.  See large historic telescopes, captivating astro-photography, ancient meteorites, hands-on exploration, and much more.  This exhibit was developed in collaboration with the Neville Public Museum Astronomical Society.
 
The Neville is also offering programs in conjunction with Eyes on the Sky including:
 
Exhibits Exposed: Interstellar Overdrive
Wednesday, July 20
6:00 p.m.
Explore the museum’s newest exhibit Eyes on the Sky with the people that built it.  Members of the Neville Public Museum Astronomical Society and museum staff will be in the gallery sharing the secrets of the exhibit at 6:00 p.m.
 
Whether you’re interested in what it takes to restore large antique telescopes, examining a meteorite up close, or discovering secrets of the Apollo 11 lunar landing, there’s something here for you. 
 
Museum Star Party
Wednesday, July 20
7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Join members of the Neville Public Museum's Astronomical Society as we gaze into the night sky. The Society will provide telescopes and other equipment used to study celestial bodies, and will help viewers of all ages identify stars, planets, and other far-away worlds that we can view from right here in the heart of Green Bay.
 
Program is free to the public.
