Feline Fine: Art of Cats Opening at the Neville
 
Green Bay, WI---March 2, 2016---Looking for the purr-fect way to escape the cold?  Feline Fine: Art of Cats is opening this weekend at the Neville. 
 
This traveling exhibition consists of 50 new paintings and sculptures by leading artists who specialize in the subject of cats. Artworks in Feline Fine portray domestic breeds and wild cats in a variety of styles ranging from photo-realism to painterly impressionism.  We’ll also be featuring winning photo submissions from our #NevilleCats Instagram contest and exclusive new footage of zookeeper interaction with the big cats in partnership with the NEW Zoo. 
 
The Neville is also partnering with the Bay Area Humane Society and Cats Anonymous for Feline Fine programming including:
 
Explorer Saturday: Cat Adoptions
Cat-urday March 5, 2016 and Cat-urday April 2, 2016
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
 
Visit the Bay Area Human Society’s cat adoption fairs at the Neville Museum and make a cat art project.
 
Explorer Saturday is perfect for families, children of any age, and adults interested in a special experience.  Activities are included in museum admission.  
 
Exhibits Exposed: A Purrrfect Evening with Feline Fine Art
Wednesday March 16, 2016
6:00 p.m.
 
Explore the artwork with the museum's curator and discover rarely-seen historic artifacts pulled from our collections for one night only, including a mummified cat from ancient Egypt.  Then, join us for a discussion with our partners Cats Anonymous and the Bay Area Humane Society to learn what our community is doing to protect our feline friends and what you can do to help.
 
Visitors can also help out the Bay Area Humane Society and get half-price admission to the museum by bringing in any item (not just cat-related items!) from the BAHS wish list.  Half-price admission with donation is available Tuesday-Friday from March 6 through April 17. 
 
Feline Fine is on display from March 6 through April 17, 2016.  Missing this exhibit would be a cat-astrophe!
