FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Celebrate the Holiday Season at Your Neville Public Museum!

Green Bay, WI---November 6, 2014---The Neville Public Museum is pleased to announce an exciting 2014 holiday event schedule featuring:

Holiday Memories of Downtown Green Bay (Exhibit)
November 22, 2014 through January 4, 2015

Bigger and more magical than ever before, visitors to this 5,000 square foot exhibit will be enchanted upon entering a forest fantasy complete with: model train sets that wind around a mountain of presents, animated H.C. Prange department store figurines in a variety of natural settings, a gift shop for children only, as well as “Bruce the Spruce” the talking Christmas tree with his new young sapling “Sammy the Spruce”.

The enchantment builds with reimagined window displays along Washington St. set between the 1940s and 1960s that feature a holiday shopping scene and a Kaap’s Restaurant scene.  The public will also be allowed to interact with Kaap’s Restaurant furniture and view a newly restored booth and candy counter. Finally, some of the mystery is revealed in a restoration workshop, where the mechanics of the figurines are exposed and how they were restored to their original condition.  Make new memories this Holiday Season at the Neville Public Museum during the Holiday Memories of Downtown Green Bay exhibit!

Connect Inc. Christmas Tree Jubilee
November 25, 2014 through November 30, 2014

Connect Inc. will kick off the 2014 seasonal festivities with an exciting new holiday event, the Christmas Tree Jubilee-A Celebration of Giving. The event will debut as a five-day holiday celebration at the Neville Public Museum, beginning on November 25th and ending on November 30th. The event is designed to provide holiday cheer and raise funds to assist families dealing with cancer in our community.

The Christmas Jubilee is an opportunity for businesses and families to sponsor a tree that will be fully decorated by local talent. During the Nov. 25 Jubilee event, sponsors will have the opportunity to choose one of the trees on display. Once chosen, signage will prominently display the donor, decorator, and sponsor of each tree. The evening is an occasion to bring together local businesses, families, organizations and talented volunteers to support the cancer community.

All trees will remain on display through Nov. 30, when they will be delivered to homes or businesses as directed by the sponsor. The general public will be able to view the display during regular museum hours.
