National Land & Water Conservation Student Poster Display
February 12, 2020
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
National Land & Water Conservation Student Poster Display now open at the Neville Public Museum
Green Bay, WI---February 12, 2020--- In 1955, the National Association of Conservation Districts began a national program to encourage Americans to focus on stewardship. The 65th annual poster contest and stewardship theme for 2020 is “Where would we BEE without Pollinators?”
Pollinators form the foundations of a healthy and sustainable future for food and the environment, but in recent years, they have shown concerning signs of decline. It’s important that we work to help them prosper by enhancing native pollinator habitats and protecting against pollinator declines.
On display through April 5th are thirteen original pollinator-themed posters produced by area students (K-12) and submitted to the Brown County Department of Land and Water Conservation for judging. Brown County and regional winners were selected on the merits of theme, message, visual effectiveness, originality and universal appeal.
