Neville Museum and Ashwaubenon Schools Partnering for “Technology Through the Ages” Google Hangout

Green Bay, WI---February 16, 2016--- The Neville Public Museum and Ashwaubenon School District are continuing their new digital initiative: connecting museum collections to students using Google Hangouts.  The next Hangout will be Friday, February 19 at 1:00 p.m.

County Executive Troy Streckenbach will join 4th grade students in Kristin Turnbull’s class at Valley View Elementary to learn about “Technology Through the Ages” from Deputy Director Kevin Cullen and Education Specialist Ryan Swadley who will be stationed in-gallery at the Neville Public Museum.

“It’s exciting to see how community assets like the Neville Public Museum can reach into the classroom and connect students with history to see how the past really happened,” said Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach. “This program is a great example of how technology can be used in a positive way to educate our children, support our teachers in the classrooms and accommodate changing school needs.”
Media is invited to the Neville Public Museum on February 19 at 12:45 p.m. for the Hangout.   County Executive Streckenbach will arrive at the Neville Public Museum immediately after the Google Hangout concludes, at approximately 1:45 p.m. and will be available for interviews and questions.
