Press RoomTemporary Closure of the Neville Public Museum
March 16, 2020
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Neville Public Museum Temporally Closed to the Public
To our Neville Public Museum community,
We have made the difficult decision to close the Museum beginning today (March 16, 2020) through April 7, 2020. This was not a decision we came to lightly, though we believe it is the right one for our community, especially those individuals who are most at-risk.
The Neville Public Museum is committed to helping mitigate the spread of the virus and have decided the best way to reduce the risk would be to close our Museum to our visitors and members. Our top priority remains the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, visitors, and community.
While we are closed for public and private programs and events please visit us at www.nevillepublicmuseum.org and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the latest updates.
Brown County reminds everyone that if you are coughing or sick, or otherwise exhibiting symptoms, please remain home and do not come to county facilities. In addition, we encourage the practice of social distancing. That means avoiding ‘close contact’ with people who are sick – ‘close contact’ means coming within 6 feet of an individual. State and local officials based on CDC and DHS guidance, as well as the scope of the outbreak will guide our decisions about the implementation of additional community measures.
We look forward to re-opening our doors to you again soon. Please stay safe and healthy.
