December 4 Transit (Germany, 2018)
Based on the novel by Anna Seghers, Transit is a fascinating blend of past and present drawing parallels between the refugee situation of today and of the past. In 1942, Georg attempts to flee France, after its invasion by the Nazis. He assumes the identity of a dead author, but soon finds himself stuck in Marseilles, where he falls in love with Maria, a young woman searching for her missing husband.
Screenings will be free.
Screenings begin at 7:00pm. Screenings on the 1st Wednesday of the month will occur in the auditorium of the Neville Public Museum.
All films are free and open to the public and are unrated but intended for a mature audience.
