The Neville Public Museum

Morbid Curiosities

“The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living.”
-Cicero

The human need to ritualize death is universal and eternal.  During this event you’ll gain access to the museum’s collection storage area to view artifacts from cultures around the world and hear stories of how they commemorated their departed…and what they believed lay beyond their own mortal lives.

The event lasts approximately one hour, followed by time to explore Green Bay's Monster Maker: the Art of Dale Kuipers and textile works in Women Who Run with Scissors: Materialized.
