An Artistic Discovery featured 43 works of art produced by high school students in Wisconsin's 8th Congressional District, represented by Congressman Mike Gallagher.

Representative High Schools included Bay Port High School, Brillion High School, De Pere High School, Freedom High School, Kimberly High School, Preble High School, Renaissance School for the Arts, Wrightstown High School, and Xavier High School.

The artwork covered a range of media and subject matter, which collectively display diverse levels of talent and exceptional creativity.

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors this nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Since the competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated. Students submit entries to their representative's office, and panels of district artists select the winning entries.

Congratulations to all the teachers and student artist participants!
