What’s Your Function? was a juried exhibition featuring the artwork of NWTC Artisan and Business Center students, artists, staff, and faculty.

Artists were asked to explore the theme of “functional” artwork – from a table to a teapot or a tool – or by simply bringing joy with beauty. The idea of “functional” art doesn’t have to be obvious; it could be as simple as a painting on a wall. You might be thinking: “what function does a painting serve?” It could be to make you think, to provoke emotion, to bring joy, to cover a hole in the wall, or even cause a giggle! Be sure to read the artist statements to learn more about each piece.

The NWTC Artisan and Business Center is in the Olde Main Arts District promoting the appreciation and awareness of art through collaborative partnerships, year-round credit and non-credit classes, as well as open studio and studio rentals.
